Traffic changes on Wilton Road for pipeline work
Sydney Water has announced traffic changes on Wilton Road over the next three weeks as work continues on the infrastructure required to service 15,000 new homes.

Sydney Water has announced traffic changes on Wilton Road over the next three weeks as work continues on the infrastructure required to service 15,000 new homes.
A temporary single-lane closure will be in place from Monday, August 17 until Friday, September 4 to enable Sydney Water crews to connect and test a new drinking water pipeline.
The work is being undertaken as part of Sydney Water’s Wilton Integrated Servicing Program.
The program will deliver substantial water and wastewater infrastructure to support the 15,000 new homes expected to be built in the Wilton Growth Area by 2047.
Sydney Water has identified supply from the Macarthur Water Filtration Plant (WFP) as the best option for the Wilton Growth Area, requiring approximately two kilometres of pipeline along Wilton Road to service the initial stages of development.
A Sydney Water spokesperson said the closure would be in place near 281 Wilton Road and would remain in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week for the duration of the work.
Traffic lights will be used to safely manage the flow of traffic through the work site and reduced speed limits will be in place.
Delays are expected and motorists using Wilton Road are encouraged to allow extra travel time.
Residents will continue to have access to their properties and Sydney Water does not expect any service interruptions.
Work crews will be on site between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday and between 8am and 1pm Saturdays (if required) until the connection and testing has been completed.
