Parents interested in sending their children to new schools in Wilton are being invited to attend an information session to learn more about the enrolment process and to meet the principals.
The information session, organised by the NSW Department of Education, will be held between 3pm and 6.30pm on Monday, March 23 at Wilton Public School (11 Greenbridge Drive).
The NSW Government is building a new pre-school, public primary school and high school in Wilton to cater for a rapidly growing population.
Construction on the new facilities is well underway.
Department of Education representatives will be set up outside the office near the school office on March 23, weather permitting.
If weather conditions are poor, they will be set up in the school library.
Those people unable to attend can gain more information about enrolment online at edu.nsw.link/WiltonHS-enrol or edu.nsw.link/WiltonPS-enrol
Paper-based application forms can be collected from any public school and submitted via Wilton Public School.
Phone enquiries can be directed to the principals on (02) 4630 8006.
As reported by The Southern Wire last year, the new schools in the Wilton area will ensure families in the rapidly growing area have access to world-class education from pre-school through to Year 12 without having to travel.
The high school will be the first to be built in Wilton and only the second public high school in Wollondilly.
The high new school will be built in stages with a three-storey building containing 12 classrooms to be ready for the start of the 2027 school year along with a modern library, a full-sized sports field and a sports court.
Additional buildings will be ready for the 2028 school year including classrooms, a school hall, vocational educational facilities and two more sports courts.
Enrolments for next year will be limited to 187, however when completed the school will cater for 1000 students.
The new primary school and pre-school are also scheduled to open by the first day of the 2027 school year.
The new primary school will feature 24 classrooms with shared common areas and multipurpose spaces, three support learning classes with dedicated amenities, a covered outdoor learning area (COLA), a modern library and multipurpose hall with canteen.
There will also be facilities for outside of school hours care, administration facilities and staff areas.
