Site preparation works for the Marulan Water Reservoir Project are set to begin in late June, with construction expected to be completed by the end of September.

Goulburn Mulwaree Council says the new reservoir will be built on land accessed via the corner of Dorsett Road and Suffolk Road, Marulan.

The initial stage of works will include vegetation clearing, tree removal, installation of site fencing and construction of an internal access road.

Construction will take place from 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday and from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays. No works will be carried out on Sundays or public holidays.

Council has assured residents there will be no interruption to the town's water supply while the works are underway.

Traffic management measures will be in place throughout the project to help ensure the safety of workers, motorists and pedestrians.
