Friday Karaoke at Sutton Forest Inn

Traditionally held on the fourth Friday night of every month, Friday Karaoke is a popular event at the Sutton Forest Inn from 8pm – 11pm.

There’s also an opportunity to win a meat tray and the badge draw, as well as the opportunity to ‘wow’ the crowd with your impressive vocal skills.

Family Movie Day, Highlands Sports Centre Braemar

The Highlands Sports Centre at Braemar will be hosting a free family movie day at their headquarters in Pikkat Drive, Braemar this Saturday from 1pm.

Included as part of the day are activities such as:

• Kids activities and games;

• Family movie screening on their giant indoor projection wall;

• A sausage sizzle;

• Popcorn;

• A chance to meet local families from the community;

• Visit the Highlands Sports Centre facility and see what Highlands Sports Centre is all about.

Make sure to bring pillows, blankets, and comfortable clothes to watch the movie in.

Mittagong Lions Junior Appreciation Day

This Sunday, the Mittagong Lions Rugby League Football Club (MRLFC) will celebrate their Junior Appreciation Day at Bob Hall Sportsground.

Join them for Round 6 of the Premiership competition as all three of the male teams take on The Oaks Tigers starting with the Under 18's team at 12pm, Reserve Grade at 1:30pm and First Grade at 3pm.

The club is also inviting all Mittagong Lions Junior Rugby League Football Club parents to join them for free when accompanied by a Mittagong Junior player in their footy gear.

They will also have $5 State of Origin Doubles on sale at the @wattlecourt_southernhighlands bar, as well as Lions Long Lunch tickets and you may find a celebrity cooking steaks on the BBQ, too.

There will also be facepainting and a colouring-in competition, as well as a meat raffle sponsored by @williamsqualitymeats.

The club is also urging fans to wear their best green and gold to make a sea of Mittagong supporters for their photographer in residence.

Gates open from 10:30am.

The Bob Hall Sportsground is located at 1A Hawkins Lane/Old Hume Highway, Mittagong (adjacent to the Highlands Golf Club).

In Her Shoes - Pre-Loved Fashion Market, Camden AH & I Showground Hall

Held on Saturday and Sunday at the Camden Showground Hall, the In Her Shoes – Pre Loved Fashion Market is on again.

There’s plenty of men’s, women’s and children’s pre-loved fashion and accessories on sale.

Entry is free for customers and there is also a coffee van on site for those who need their caffeine fix.

The market will be held from 9am – 2pm over both days at the Camden AH&I Hall, 193-195 Argyle St, Camden.

Picton Poultry Club Annual Show

The inaugural Picton Poultry Club Annual Show starts this Sunday at the Picton Showgrounds in Menangle St.

Judges Caleb Thomas and Emily McKay will judge the finest categories of poultry the Picton and Wollondilly area has to offer.

The top prize for senior exhibitors is for Champion Bird Of Show: $200 + Bag Of Feed + Trophy + Sash; and Reserve Champion Bird of Show recieves $50 + Feed or a Voucher + Sash.

Junior exhibitors top prize is Champion Junior: $30 + Bag of Feed + Trophy + Sash; and Reserve Champion Junior: $10 + Bag of Feed + Sash+ Medallion.

There will also be many other categories judged with medallions awarded for those categories.

Note: All exhibits must be penned by 7:00 am - 8:30am on Sunday morning .

- Exhibits can be unpenned at 3:00pm unless otherwise stipulated accompanied by a steward.

- Juniors must pen their own exhibits, and they can be assisted by a guardian.

- All leg rings must be removed before penning.

- Exhibitor Entry Fee: $2.50 Member Entry Fee: $2.00 Junior Entry Fee: $1.50 Junior Member Fee: $1.00.

Goulburn Brewery Mill & Mill Bar Launch

Tonight from 5pm the Goulburn Brewery is celebrating the official opening of their Mill Bar – their new indoor bar space, and the latest addition to the historic Brewery site. From 5pm the first 50 schooners are free (limit of one per person), plus there will also be live music from local acoustic duo Grace and Austin from 6pm – 9pm.

Marulan Book Exchange

Held twice monthly from 10am – 1pm, the Marulan Book Exchange is usually held at the St Stephen’s Church site in George St.

It’s one of the few book exchanges that are left in New South Wales, and readers can bring their books and swap for some new titles.

Sunday Sessions at the Goulburn Club

Held from 1pm – 5pm on Sundays every week at the Goulburn Club, the Sunday Sessions is an opportunity for musicians to bring their instruments or budding local singer-songwriters to bring their finest vocal skills to perform in front of a group sharing like-minded interests.

It can be anything from songs and tunes to stories and even poetry.

The group also focuses on traditional folk songs, Australian and Celtic songs and Americana songs.

Everyone is welcome to join in or listen, with song sheets available online or people can lead and introduce new songs or tunes.
