Yes, it's the weekend again across our four regions, and there's a lot happening including the Highlands own Jimmy Barnes (and friends!) coming to Centennial Vineyards in Bowral on Saturday afternoon and evening.

Friday Karaoke at Sutton Forest

On the fourth Friday of every month, the Sutton Forest Inn hosts Friday Karaoke, with the opportunity to also win a meat tray and take part in the badge draw to win prizes or cash.

Karaoke is held from 8pm to 11pm and is free.

The New Bowral School Market

Held on the fourth Saturday of every month, the New Bowral School Market is on from 9am -2pm in the grounds of Bowral Public School on Bendooley St.

It is run by Artisan Market Events, the same market group that run the New Bowral Markets at the Bowral Bowling Club on Shepherd St.

There are a great variety of market stalls including food stalls, plants, fresh produce, plus live music and a whole heap more.

Jimmy Barnes – Working Class Man 40th Anniversary Tour – at Centennial Vineyards

Starting from 2:30pm at Centennial Vineyards in Bowral, Jimmy Barnes’ Working Class Man 40 Anniversary Tour will also feature performances from some of Jimmy’s closest friends and former bandmates including Ian Moss, Kate Ceberano, ICEHOUSE and John Rooney.

Kate Ceberano will be first to perform at 4:05pm, then Ian Moss from 5:20pm, ICEHOUSE at 6:35pm, and Jimmy will close with the finale at 8:15pm.

So strap in for a great afternoon and evening of entertainment from some of Australia’s finest rock n’ roll musicians.

Dogs Day Out

Hosted by the Bundanoon Lions Club, Dogs Day Out will be held at the Southern Highlands Carriage Club from 10am.

Prizes and ribbons will be available for all classes of pooch, including ‘Best Presented’, ‘Best Trick’, ‘Cutest Puppy’ and ‘Best Rescue’.

The entry fee for each class you think your dog will excel in costs $5.00.

Appin Ghost and History Tours

Hosted by the Appin Historical Society, the tour invites people to step into the village’s past and uncover the stories that time had tried to cover up.

The tour contains somewhat chilling ghost stories and also the rich history of how Appin was created back in the early 1800s.

The tours are open to those only over the age of 16, as it contains horror and adult themes.

Also recommended are strong walking shoes and a torch. The tour runs from 8pm – 10:30pm.

There will also be another tour held on 17 April, with only 13 places left, so get in quick!

Tours cost $30 and are held at The Stone Cottage, Appin Historical Society, 78 Appin Rd, Appin.

Easter Afternoon Tea, Photo Scavenger Hunt and Easter Hat Workshop

Picton store The Celebration Society will be a hive of activity this Saturday with their Easter Hat Workshop, as well as their Easter Afternoon Tea and Photo Scavenger Hunt.

The Easter Hat Workshop starts from 11am – 12 noon, and then afterwards the Easter Afternoon Tea commences from 1pm through until 2:30pm.

The Celebration Society is located at 36 Menangle St, Picton.

Easter Family Fun Day at Tahmoor Inn

Commencing from 12 noon at the Tahmoor Inn, come and join in the fun at the Easter Family Fun Day this Sunday.

Grab some lunch from the club’s bistro and a drink and the kids will also enjoy free face painting through until 3pm, as well as a magician’s performance from 12:30pm to 2:30pm.

There will even be an opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny with a surprise Easter egg hunt, too!

Tech Savvy Seniors Workshop - Introduction to Emails, Goulburn Mulwaree Library

The Goulburn Mulwaree Library will be hosting a free Tech Savvy Seniors workshop, this time focusing on an Introduction to Emails.

The workshop will address any questions seniors may have, as well as covering such issues as email providers, setting up and using an email account, attaching documents and photos, and digital organisation tools such as contact lists, groups, labels, and folders.

Also, learn about spotting common email scams and how to avoid them, sync emails across your phone/laptop, and more!

The workshops are run in partnership with the NSW Government and Telstra.

The workshop will run from 11am to 1pm.

The Goulburn Mulwaree Library is located within the Goulburn Mulwaree Council Chambers at 184 – 194 Bourke St, Goulburn.

Markets on Bourke

Held on the fourth Saturday of every month, the Markets on Bourke are located at the Goulburn Scout Hall on the corner of Addison and Bourke Sts and run from 9am to 1pm.

Everything is available at the markets including food stalls, local arts and crafts, produce, plants, fresh flowers, as well as live music performances.

Dancing in the Shadows of Motown, Goulburn Performing Arts Centre (GPAC)

A 10 – piece powerhouse band performs all the hits of Motown in their ‘Dancing in the Shadows of Motown’ show for one night only this Saturday night at the Goulburn Performing Arts Centre (GPAC).

Enjoy listening to hits from such acclaimed Motown artists as The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Martha and the Vandellas, and many more.

The show runs from 7:30pm to 9:45pm, and is guaranteed to have you up on your feet and clapping!

Football NSW Junior Development League Gala Day

Held at Goulburn’s Cookbundoon Sporting Complex, the Football NSW Junior Development League Open Day will see more than 800 from all over NSW descend on the city to compete in three or four games against other local teams and regional associations/clubs/programs.

Age groups will consist of 9, 10, 11 & 12 year – old boys and girls in small sides of 7 v 7 (Under 9s), and 9 v 9 (Under 10s, 11s and 12s).

The day will run from 8:30am – 4:30pm, with parents and spectators free.

Cookbundoon Sporting Complex is located at 22 Racecourse Drive, Goulburn.

Bucking Bulls Australia Yass River Co Classic, Yass Showgrounds

Slated as ‘one of the biggest nights on the country events calendar’, the BBA Yass River Co Classic show brings together elite bucking bulls and their riders competing for that all important prize of staying on the bull for as long as possible!

There will also be a large screen on site, so you won’t miss a minute of the action. There will also be family- based amusements as well as a thrilling trick – horse riding display. There will also be a variety of food vendors on site in their food trucks selling delicious rodeo classics and even Western- based clothing vans selling their wares as well.

It’s a fully licensed venue with strictly no BYO, and also no dogs are permitted on site.

The event will run from 5pm – 9pm (with gates opening from 3pm) at the Yass Showgrounds, 16 Grand Junction Rd, Yass.

Held as per usual on the last Sunday of every month, the Yass Railway Museum Artisan Markets are on again this Sunday from 10am to 2pm.

There is a variety of local produce, handmade crafts and also food and drink available for every customer, as well as free entry to the Yass Railway Museum where you can take a self- guided tour.
