Music Cafe By Night – Pakedano – Classic Swing to Modern Latin Jazz

For the first time at CTC Robertson, Music Cafe by Night will host jazz quartet Pakedano tonight from 7pm – 9pm.

Consisting of Paul Cooper on keyboard, Keith Horton on guitar, Neil Cairns (double bass) and David Gale (drums), Pakedano formed in the Illawarra and indulge their shared love for Latin – inspired and straight jazz tunes for several years.

So come and enjoy a dance or a sing along to some swing and jazz classics at CTC Robertson. The café and fundraising bar will also be open for snacks and drinks as well from 6:30pm.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for concessions, with children under 16 giving a gold coin donation at the door.

140th Moss Vale Show (all weekend)

The 140th Moss Vale Show is on all weekend at the Moss Vale Showgrounds on the Illawarra Highway.

With events galore and horses, poultry, cattle, working dogs and the farmyard nursery as well as rides for the kids and plenty of entertainment throughout the whole weekend, the show is guaranteed to keep your family entertained all day long.

There will even be spectacular fireworks from 9pm on Saturday night, to top things off.

Tickets can be purchased at the gate by cash or card, with prices starting from $15 for adults, $10 for concessions (with companion card holders free); children under 16 are $5, and children under 6 and members getting in for free.

A family pass (two adults, two children) is $35.

The New Bowral Market, Bowral Bowling Club

Held on the second Saturday of every month the new Bowral Market is on from 9am to 1pm at Bowral Bowling Club.

Ran by Artisan Market Events, The New Bowral Market is full of quality local stalls selling everything from food, fashion, jewellery, homewares and fresh fruit and vegetables.

In their ‘Growers Lane’ section, there is even fresh seafood for sale.

Artisan Market Events also support local charities and schools through their ‘Lend a Hand’ and ‘Young Entrepreneur’ programs.

That’s right folks, the Sutton Forest Cars and Coffee event is on again on the corner of Exeter Rd and the Illawarra Highway at Sutton Forest this Sunday from 10am.

Enthusiasts bring along their pride and joy for people to dream and ogle over whilst also enjoying a delicious pastry or an assortment of hot food as well as Rush’s freshly-brewed coffee from their coffee kiosk.

Karaoke at Picton Hotel

Every two or three months for the rest of this year, the Picton Hotel is hosting a Karaoke Night on Saturdays from 7:30pm.

This Saturday night is the first one for March.

Belt out your favourite tune and watch your friends either look at you in awe at your great singing or fall about laughing at your antics on stage!

Karaoke sessions will then be held on April 11, June 27, September 26 and November 28.

There’s a cars and coffee event to suit every area, and the Warragamba area is no exception.

From 7:30am – 10am, car enthusiasts and friends and family join each other to catch up and express their love for their favourite vehicle, motorbike or hot rod.

They meet along Fourteenth St, Warragamba. There’s also great coffee shops to purchase your favourite brew and some brekky in the village centre as well.

Mulwaree On Show @Mulwaree High School

Showcasing the best of Mulwaree High School has to offer, Mulwaree On Show is on tonight from 5:30pm – 8pm.

There will be live music and drama, bubble soccer, raffles, dance, art, food stalls, kids activities, a photography competition, e-games, a green screen setup, drones, tours of the Remembrance library and a whole heap more.

MHERV Van - Goulburn

Hosted by Rotary International, the Men’s Health Education Rural Van (MHERV) van comes to town for men of all ages to come and check in on their mental health and any health matters in general, and this Saturday will be at the Goulburn Recreation Area all day from 9:30am-4:15pm.

The MHERV van first started life in Mudgee in 2007 when a local district assistant governor and District Governor got together with the General Manager of Western District Hospital at Mudgee at the time, Joy Adams about the incidence of late presenting serious health events amongst rural men.

The van now travels around the state helping men everywhere to improve their health and seek advice from medical professionals.

The Goulburn Recreation Area is located at 47 Braidwood Rd, Goulburn.

Tarago Show Community Day Event

Hosted by the Tarago Show Committee, the Community Day Event will be held at the showgrounds from 9am – 2pm this Sunday.

The Show Committee acknowledges times are tough and is encouraging members of the local community to get together and enjoy a family friendly, fun day out.

Activities for the day will include:

- face painting;

- a magician;

- pony rides;

- games for the kids;

- local singers;

- The local Tarago School choir;

- The Hume Conservatorium choir; and

- Even some poetry.

Coming from Braidwood will be an exhibition by the Braidwood and District Heavy Horse Association (BDHHA).

There will also be a number of food stalls and proud stall holders presenting their wares, too.

Non alcoholic drinks will also be served on the day, but feel free to BYO alcholic drinks.

Cost to enter is a gold coin donation only.

Sourdough Pizza Night Pop Up, Little Sutton Bakehouse

For the last time before the winter season, Little Sutton Bakehouse will be firing up their pizza oven to cook up some delicious sourdough pizzas.

There will also be cold drinks, cocktails and even decadent tiramisu for dessert!

The night starts from 4:30pm and will run through until 9:30pm.

Murrumbateman Village Market

The fortnightly Murrumbateman Village Market is on again this Saturday from 9am – 1pm.

The market sells a wide range of local crafts, pottery and handmade goods, as well as organic vegetables, local produce from local gardens, plus bread, cakes, pastries, jams, honey, sauces, chillies, a range of meats, olives and olive oil, native plants, wine from local winemakers and more.

It’s held on the Village Green at the Murrumbateman Recreation Grounds next to the Barton Highway.

Celtic Graveside Yarns, Yass History Centre

To celebrate St Patrick’s Day in Yass, join the Yass History Centre on a walk through Yass Cemetery discovering the town’s Celtic history, with stories of early Yass Valley residents who came from Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

It’s a two-hour guided tour from 10am – 12 noon led by experienced volunteers from the Yass History Centre. Also to get into the St Patrick’s Day spirit, feel free to wear a ‘splash of green.’

Yass Valley History Centre is located at Irvine Drive, Yass.

Tour tickets are $30 for adults, $20 for children (aged 5-17), and a Family Pass (2 adults, 2 children) is $85.

An additional child (with Family Pass) is $10, with a child under 5 years free.
