Wheelchair Basketball, Mittagong PCYC
Give wheelchair basketball a try at the Southern Highlands PCYC Centre in Mittagong tonight from 5pm – 6:30pm.
The sport is fast-paced and fun, and you don’t need to have a disability to take part, but a drive to be competitive and build your strength and coordination skills.
It’s also a great social atmosphere to make new friends, too.

Exeter Village Markets
Traditionally held on the first Saturday of every month, the Exeter Village Markets are on again tomorrow from 9am – 1:30pm.
The market has everything from plants, bread, fresh fruit, vegetables, great coffee, delicious cakes, honey, jams, relishes, sauces, preserves, handcrafted pieces, confectionary, pre-made meals, bric-a-brac, knitwear, jewellery, leather goods, candles, melts and homewares.

Kangaroo Valley Bonfire & Fireworks Festival
Kangaroo Valley’s Friendly Inn pub plays host to the annual Fireworks and Bonfire Festival on the King’s Birthday Long Weekend.
There will be huge crafted bonfire, scattered fire pits and even a fantastic fireworks display. The pub has also worked with artists to delight patrons with spectacular fire sculptures.
There will also be mulled wine, a full bistro, and local food stalls available as well.
The night will run from 6pm – 11pm.

King’s Birthday Long Weekend at Sutton Forest Inn
Celebrate the King’s Birthday Long Weekend at the Sutton Forest Inn this Saturday afternoon, kicking off from 1pm.
There will be a jumping castle and face-painting for the kids and for the adults a warm paddock bonfire with hot toddies and mulled wine.
The pub will also be hosting lunch and dinner every day with a variety of dishes on offer.

Live on the Lawn at Artemis Wines, Mittagong
Every Sunday from 11am – 3pm, Artemis Wines at Mittagong hosts their Live on the Lawn session, with wood-fired pizzas and also live music playing from 12pm – 3pm.
The winery’s cellar door is also offering 20 percent off all their takeaway bottles of wine through until Monday only.
Christie Lamb will be performing her brand of live music this Sunday, too.
There will also be an opportunity to have wine tastings along with a delicious cheeseboard across the whole long weekend.

Yerrinbool Railway Garden
Visit the Yerrinbool Railway Garden this Monday from 10am to 1pm. The volunteers based at the gardens host tours and also provide morning tea.
The garden has a mix of natives, herb beds, rose beds, a pollinator patch and chemical free vegetables raised in beds using a wicking bed design.
They also have some art and historical information.

William Barton & The Sydney Symphony, Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre Picton
Aboriginal musician William Barton and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra will be paying a visit to the Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre tonight from 7pm.
Mr Barton will display his talents on the digeridoo (or ‘yidaki’) and will play pieces written for voice, yidaki and guitar.
These are intimate and personal works written by and for Barton, performed with his partner Véronique Serret, his mother Aunty Delmae Barton and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
The Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre is located at 66 Menangle St, Picton.

FREE ‘Check & Tune’ + Bike Collection, Wollondilly Community Nursery, Picton
Come and get your pushbike checked and ‘tuned’ by the team from Wollondilly Shire Council this Saturday at the Wollondilly Community Nursery in Picton from 10am – 1pm.
You can also donate any old bikes that are beyond repair and Revolve Recycling refurbishes, repurposes, or recycles them, helping to create affordable and eco-friendly transportation options for others.

The Aussie Fusion 3D Toybox shop will be officially opening in Thirlmere this Saturday from 10am.
Aussie Fusion will be a shop full of 3D printed toys, fidgets, articulated animals, dragons, collectibles, sensory toys and plenty of fun little creations for kids, families and big kids at heart.

Held at the Picton Showgrounds, the Picton Swap Meet is a popular event for collectors, car enthusiasts, and bargain hunters alike.

National Donut Day, Goulburn Donut Shop
Celebrated annually on the first weekend of June, National Donut Day is on again today from 9am – 4pm at the Goulburn Donut Shop in Russell Lane.
The day was first established way back in 1938 by the Salvation Army to commemorate the ‘Doughnut Lassies’, who served doughboys in World War 2.

Watercolour Workshop with Sami Bayly, Goulburn Mulwaree Library
Sami Bayly is an award-winning illustrator and author of The Illustrated Encyclopaedia series and will be hosting this watercolour workshop at the Goulburn Mulwaree Library this afternoon from 3-4pm.

The St Saviour’s Community Markets are on again this Saturday in the grounds and hall of St Saviour’s Cathedral in Bourke St from 9am – 1pm.
As always, there will be a wide variety of stalls showcasing local produce, wines, honey, candles, jams, cakes and slices. You’ll also find plants, antiques, bric a brac, knitwear for the whole family, and lots of jewellery including rings, necklaces and watches as well as all sorts of paintings, art works and diamond paintings, along with textiles, homemade sewn and embroidered articles.
There will also be a delicious gourmet BBQ served for patrons and stallholders alike.

Goulburn Cars and Bikes Show and Shine Fundraiser
Hosted by the Goulburn Lilac City Festival Inc, the Goulburn Cars and Bikes Show and Shine Fundraiser will be held this Saturday at the Goulburn Showgrounds on Braidwood Rd from 1pm – 8pm.
The event is fundraising for supporting the Goulburn–Shibetsu Japan Exchange Program (Shibetsu is Goulburn’s sister city in Japan).
It is guaranteed to be an afternoon and evening of amazing cars, bikes, food, music and community fun.
Vehicle entry is only $15 with all spectators entry fee by a gold coin donation.

Bungonia Sunday Breakfast
That’s right, the Bungonia Sunday Breakfast is on again this Sunday morning at the Bungonia Community Hall from 9am – 11am.
The event is hosted by the Bungonia Progress Association and associated volunteers.
It’s a not-for-profit run by the community, with all proceeds going back to the Bungonia Progress Association Inc to keep the hall open to the public.
Traditional dishes served at the breakfast are their signature English Big Breakfast for only $12, an Bacon & Egg Roll, scrambled eggs or pancakes with maple syrup, cream, jam and butter for only $7 and barista coffee from $4.
The breakfast is traditionally held on the first and third Sunday of the month.

Taralga Art Show
With it’s official opening night held on Saturday night from 6–8pm, the annual Taralga Art Show is on again at the Taralga War Memorial Hall across the whole King’s Birthday Long Weekend in the tiny village of Taralga, approximately 40kms north of Goulburn.
Awards given to the artists included the People’s Choice ($300); Hangers’ Award (also $300); Wildlife Park Award ($100), and the Orchard Street Gallery Exhibition Prize.
The show and art sale was open on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm and is also open today from 10am – 2pm.
The Taralga War Memorial Hall is located at 41 Orchard St, Taralga (the village’s main street).
