YASS

FRIDAY JUNE 19

Not DiAna at Yazzbar

With an astute ear for pitch, Not diAna has always loved music, particularly singing and has done so since she can remember.

Her upbringing exposed her to Italian folk music and would often sing with her mother.

This fostered her love of harmonies.

She would drive her family mad singing anything and everything she could remember.

She always enjoyed social gatherings when the singing broke out, of course joining in.

With clean cut and angelic vocals, she can sing as sweet as honey, but belt it out like a rocker then falls into the perfect harmony, all in the one song.

Yazzbar is located at 81 Comur Street, Yass.

Contact them on 0429 221 167. You can also email them at yazzbar.yass@gmail.com.

SATURDAY JUNE 20

Shade by Alexandra Mills at Tyger Gallery

Sydney-based artist Alexandra Mills comes to Tyger Gallery for the next Tyger project show, ‘Shade’ from 10am - 2pm.

Bringing together works across gouache, oil, paper and textiles, ‘Shade’ looks at the play of shadow in places – through gardens, windows, trees, cliffs, rain and water.

For Alexandra, shade is both visual and physical - the pattern cast by light, and the relief felt when stepping out of the heat.

“It’s about noticing things you might have missed,” Alexandra says.

Tyger Gallery is located at 84 Comur St, Yass.
