Art Classes for Adults, Bowral Art Gallery
Every Friday from 1:30pm – 4:30pm until September 25th, the Bowral Art Gallery in Short St is running Art Classes for Adults.
The classes are friendly and supportive for adults and are also suitable for beginners through to more experienced artists.
Learn and develop skills in drawing, painting, collage, and soft pastels at your own pace, with individual guidance and tuition.
Whether you are completely new to art or looking to build on existing skills, this class provides a welcoming environment to explore your creativity and gain confidence in a range of artistic techniques.
Cost over the whole 10-week term is $360 (or $12 per hour).

Southern Beef Week Open Day
Local beef studs Ashgrove Angus and Lynbrook Limousins are excited to be part of The Land's Southern Beef Week 2026.
Join them at Moss Vale this Saturday from 9am to 4pm to inspect Ashgrove Angus and Lynbrook Limousins cattle, with a selection of high-quality bulls and females available for private treaty sale on the day.
Ashgrove Angus is built around proven maternal lines including Baldridge Isabel Y69, DSK Tel Lady Heather R73, Prime Beeac Q57 and the Texas Angus Toque family — combining elite cow families with carefully selected genetics to produce practical Angus cattle with structural integrity, commercial performance and consistency.
Lymbrook Limousins is built around proven maternal lines including the Birubi Nightingale, Birubi Niceity and Warrigal Krystal families, backed by consistent Royal show and performance results. Combining Australian and North American genetics, the stud produces structurally sound cattle with muscle, softness, calving ease and commercial functionality.
The event will be held at 6381 Illawarra Highway, Moss Vale (just past the Nowra Road turnoff).

Bundanoon Makers Market
Held on the first and third Sundays of every month, the Bundanoon Makers Markets are on again this Sunday at the Soldiers Memorial Hall from 8:30am – 2pm.
The market is crammed with arts, crafts and music, fresh local produce, breads, eggs and honey, plus a glorious selection of homemade cakes, jams, chutneys and sauces.
Their delicious food stalls also serve up fare with an international flavour, including a range of ready-made take-home meals, and of course they have a coffee van for your morning caffeine hit!
It's also a market for the craftsmith!
There are displays from sewers, knitters, woodworkers, photographers, leatherwork, and silver jewellery plus all you need for meals during the week.
Fresh fruit and vegetables, freshly baked bread, Lebanese take home meals, hot Indian dishes, Japanese pancakes, honey, and eggs plus a delicious assortment of cakes, pies, and beautiful melting moments – it's all here at the Bundanoon Makers Market.

Hosted every Saturday by the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club (VJMC), their Coffee and Curves event is on again this Saturday from 8am – 10am.
Meet at the Burra Bakery in Oakdale and enjoy a coffee and a delicious breakfast pastry or pie from the bakery's extensive menu and then join the riders for a casual ride around the Wollondilly area.

Every Sunday is Kid's Day at the new Wilton Hotel, with events held in the beer garden from 12pm to 2pm.

Regional Firefighter Championship
Held over two days, the Regional Firefighter Championships sees local fire brigades go up against each other to see who the best at each event is.
The competition will feature a series of fast-paced, timed challenges that simulate real firefighting tasks.
The Championships provide an exciting spectacle for spectators of all ages.
With teams travelling from across the state and interstate, the event highlights the skill, teamwork and camaraderie of Fire and Rescue NSW firefighters. Spectators can also explore displays from Fire and Rescue NSW, the NSW Rural Fire Service and State Emergency Service (SES), where they can learn about fire prevention, home safety, and emergency preparedness. Whether you have a connection to the fire services or are simply looking for an action-packed community event, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The Official Opening is at 9.30am on Saturday morning with competition to resume afterwards at 10am.
The event runs from 8am – 4pm on Saturday and 8am – 1pm Sunday.

Live Music with Goulburn Country Music Association
On the first Sunday of every month at the Goulburn Workers Club, enjoy four hours of non-stop live country music, popular soft rock and easy-listening music from the Goulburn Country Music Association (GCMA).
There is something for everyone and a large dance floor for all who love to dance. Sit back, relax and enjoy yourself in the McKell Sports Bar and Lounge. Lerida & Friends
Lerida Estate at Lake George will transform its courtyard into a celebration of regional wine, mead and spirits this winter, bringing together some of the Canberra region’s most exciting independent producers for 'Lerida & Friends', a one-day mini festival from 12pm to 5pm.
Held as part of the Canberra and Region Fireside Festival, the event will showcase a collection of makers connected to Lerida Estate through years of collaboration, friendship and shared passion for craft beverages.
Guests will have the opportunity to taste across a diverse range of wines, meads and spirits while meeting the people behind the labels.
Participating producers include Lerida Estate, Intrepidus, Sholto, Pequod, S. C. Fox, Stone Dog Meadery, Kartera, Vineyard 1207 and Dawning Day.
Visitors can enjoy tastings from all participating makers, explore the museum and limited-release wines and settle in with a glass of their favourite discovery while enjoying snacks and the relaxed winter atmosphere of the estate.
