Melinda Schneider “Tender” Tour

Acclaimed country musician and Golden Guitar award winner Melinda Schneider will be performing at Robertson Public House and Kitchen tonight from 6:00pm – 10:00pm.

She is currently touring to promote her upcoming new album ‘Tender’ - her first original album in over a decade.

It is a fully seated show with allocated seating. If there are specific seating requests, contact Robertson Public House & Kitchen at events@robertsonpublichouse.com.au.

Food will also be available to order off the pub’s extensive menu directly to your seat.

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 14

The New Bowral Market

Held every second Saturday of the month (excluding January), the New Bowral Market is on again this Saturday morning from 8am – 1pm. Purchase that all important and altogether different Valentine’s gift from the market, with artisan crafts and made in Australia products on sale as well as produce, plants, jewellery, and much more.

It will be held at Bowral Bowling Club, located at 40 Shepherd St, Bowral.

Kangaroo Valley Show

The 139th annual Kangaroo Valley Agricultural Show is on again this year at Osborne Park in the centre of Kangaroo Valley.

With a Grand Parade at 5pm tonight, showcasing all the village and surrounding area has to offer, you are guaranteed a wonderful two days of fun. There are also the traditional show acitivities including Sideshow Alley, a wide variety of entertainment on the Friendly Inn stage from local bands, a Cheese and Wine event in the Kangaroo Valley Showground Hall on Saturday evening, as well as a variety of food stalls.

There will also be traditional events such as displays of horses, cattle, poultry, vegetables, jams and preserves, etc.

Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite, and are $29 for adults, $16 for concessions, and $11.42 for children, with children under 5 free (accompanied by a valid ticket holder).

Sutton Forest Cars and Coffee

Traditionally held on the third Sunday of every month, the Sutton Forest Cars and Coffee event is on once again, starting at 10am.

Enthusiasts of all persuasions get together and take a look at special interest cars, hot rods, classics, customs, restored, vintage, muscle cars, street machines, exotics, etc.

Classic and Custom Bikes are also welcome.

There is also great coffee on offer (using local Rush coffee beans), hot food and an assortment of pastries at the small café located behind the Little Piece of Scotland shop on Exeter Rd.

The event is held at the corner of Illawarra Highway and Exeter Rd, Sutton Forest.

Art in the Park art therapy with Sharon Veness

From 9:15am – 11:30am at Pulse Bingara Gorge in Wilton, Sharon Veness will assist participants in creating wonderful pieces of art, as well as short mindfulness meditation session and coffee beforehand.

Participants can work inside or out on the grassed area with views across to the golf course.

BYO artwork or Sharon will also have art supplies available, and no experience necessary.

Cost is $25.

Valentine’s Day Blokes BBQ Breakfast, The Celebration Society, Picton

Hosted in partnership with the Bargo Mens Shed, this free event will commence at The Celebration Society in Picton from 9am – 11am.

The event is designed to ‘bring the blokes into the shop’ and for the all-important Valentine’s Day gifting for the wife or girlfriend.

All money raised from donations also goes to men’s mental health and the Bargo Men’s Shed. Kids and wives are also invited too, to make it a more family-oriented event.

There will also be a Valentines photo booth to catch that all important memory on camera to cherish forever.

Diesel train rides, NSW Rail Museum, Thirlmere

Kids and families alike can enjoy a ride behind a heritage diesel from Thirlmere to Buxton and return as well as take a tour around the NSW Rail Museum.

Kids can also enjoy the playground and picnic tables in the grounds of the museum, with all sorts of railway memorabilia and magazines and other gifts on offer in the museum shop.

Tickets for the train ride are $35 for adults, $25 for concessions and seniors and $15 for a child (aged 2-17). Infants under 2 ride free.

Introduction to Social Media, Goulburn Mulwaree Library

As part of the NSW Government’s Tech Savvy Seniors initiative, Goulburn Mulwaree Library will be hosting an Introduction to Social Media workshop from 11am – 1pm.

The session walks attendees through how to use the internet’s most popular social media applications and is also encouraging those who want to go a little further to see if they can set up their own social media profile, with help from the course teacher.

The event is free, however registration is still essential for numbers.

Goulburn Rotary Parkside Markets, Montague St, Goulburn

The Belmore Park precinct will be a hive of activity this Saturday, with both the Goulburn Multicultural Festival and these Goulburn Rotary Parkside Markets running from 8:30am – 1:30pm.

There will be plenty of delicious Valentine’s food treats and other associated gifts on offer for your special loved one, with stalls selling everything from local produce to artisan gifts and antiques and much more. There will even be delicious coffee on offer too, with local cafe Cafe 5911 located just across the road from the park.

Windellama Country Markets

Located approximately 30kms south east of Goulburn, the tiny hamlet of Windellama will be hosting their Country Markets, traditionally held on the third Sunday of every month from 9am – 3pm.

Held in the village hall, the markets sell a variety of local and semi-local produce, gifts, food, tea, and coffee, as well as honey, plants, bric-a-brac and much more.

There will also be delicious home-cooked food and freshly ground coffee on offer for the hungry market-goer. Outside the hall there is also plenty of parking as well as disability access.

Windellama Village Hall is located on Windellama Rd, Windellama (approximately 30kms south-east of Goulburn).

She is heavily influenced by an ‘Australian folk-pop' sound, and takes her inspirations from such artists as Missy Higgins, Joni Mitchell, Fleetwood Mac and many more.

Valentine’s Day Community Concert, Binalong Hall

Presented by the Binalong Hall Committee and Binalong Arts Group, come along and join a community Valentines Day concert, with skits and musical performances as well as poetry and join Narelle in karaoke.

The event starts at 7:30pm, and is BYO drinks and nibblies. Tables of 8 cost $25 per person or $20 for concessions.

Paint Your Shoes workshop, Tootsies Gallery Café

Come along and enjoy a fun shoe painting class at Tootsies Gallery Café this Sunday from 2pm – 4:30pm.

The only requirement is that you must bring a pair of white or black canvas shoes (which can be purchased at either KMart or Big W), with all other materials provided, including coloured ribbons for shoelaces, and top coat sealer paint as well.

There will also be a delicious cheeseboard and other snacks on offer to keep that hunger at bay.
