The Water Runners at Penrose Village Hall
As advertised earlier this week on The Southern Wire, award-winning folk group ‘The Water Runners’ from Kiama will be performing at a special afternoon of Australian folk, bluegrass, and storytelling at the beautiful Penrose Village Hall from 3:30pm.
The Water Runners were runners-up for the People's Choice Folk Alliance Australia Awards 2025 and winners of the ‘Best Band’ in the Australian National Busking Championships.
The Penrose Village Hall is located at 300 Kareela Rd, Penrose (approximately 5kms south of Bundanoon).

International Dog Day at Retford Park
To celebrate former resident of Retford Park, media mogul James Fairfax and his love of dogs, the National Trust are holding International Dog Day on the estate this Sunday from 10am to 3pm.
Browse a range of stalls selling a variety of dog-related goodies and services, and enjoy free garden tours for pups and their humans, competitions, a fun agility course and impressive demonstrations.
Located in stunning surrounds, International Dog Day is the perfect day out for the whole family.
Activities throughout the day will include:
- Free garden tours for dogs and their humans;
- Fun agility course contest;
- Dog sport demonstrations;
- Puppy paw painting: All day – take home a paw-some keepsake!;
- Off-leash area with stick and ball library;
- Competitions; and
- Market stalls: Browse a selection of pet-themed goodies, treats and services.
International Dog Day activities are included in a regular general entry – garden ticket for Sunday only.

Kids Disco, Oakdale Workers Club
Held at the Oakdale Workers Club this Saturday from 5pm to 8:30pm there will be a free kid's disco for kids aged up to 16 years.
The kids can enjoy an evening of music, dancing, games, and heaps of fun!
They can round up their friends, put on their dancing shoes, and join an unforgettable night filled with their favourite tunes, plenty of laughs, and lots of fun on the dance floor!
Parents can make a night of it too.
They can sit back, relax, and enjoy a meal or a drink at the club while the kids dance the evening away in a safe and fun environment.

Goulburn Celtic Session, The Goulburn Club
The monthly Celtic Sessions at The Goulburn Club are on again tonight from 7:30pm to 11pm.

Held at the Goulburn Scout Hall on the corner of Bourke and Addison Sts in Goulburn, the monthly Markets on Bourke are on again this Saturday from 9am to 1pm.
The Markets on Bourke have a range of market stalls with lots of local goodies to be found, with everything from local arts and crafts, produce, plants, fresh flowers, live music and great food. No matter what you are looking for you will be spoilt for choice so make sure you are at the Scout Hall so you don’t miss out!

Caravan Safety Check and Weighing Day
The Goulburn Mulwaree Council, along with Sutton Road Training Centre and Transport for NSW are inviting you to a free Caravan Safety Check to be held all day this Sunday from 8am to 5pm. The inspectors will be there to ensure your vehicle and trailer weights are correct and balanced to ensure safe and enjoyable travel. A Combination Weight Summary report is also provided by Sutton Road Training Centre after the day, and tips are provided on the day for drivers regarding how to pack their van and vehicle if they are overweight. An appointment time of approximately 45 minutes will be allocated to participants on booking.
Bookings are essential as spots are limited.
