SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS

FRIDAY NOVEMBER 28

Bowl Out Domestic Violence event, Highlands Entertainment Centre, Mittagong

As part of the global movement 16 Days of Activism: Say No to Domestic Violence, the Highlands Entertainment Centre, in partnership with Wingecarribee Shire Council and the Southern Highlands Domestic Violence Forum, will hold a Bowl Out Domestic Violence event raising awareness about domestic and family violence in not only the Southern Highlands but across Australia and the world.

The 16 Days of Activism campaign started on Tuesday November 25 and runs through until Wednesday December 10.

There are several events organised around the Southern Highlands throughout the two weeks, including this one.

This year alone, 58 women and 22 children have lost their lives to gender-based violence in Australia so far.

The Bowl Out Domestic Violence event will include family fun and prizes on offer.

Cost is $10 for single admission and $25 for families.

The event runs from 5:30pm – 9pm, and is at the Highlands Entertainment Centre, 2/205 Old Hume Highway, Mittagong.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 29

Loki Hines Band and Santa photos at the Robertson Public House and Kitchen

Local musician Loki Hines and his band will be performing at the Robertson Public House and Kitchen this Saturday night from 7:30pm – 10:30pm.

This event is free; however bookings are still recommended.

Before this in the Carrington Room at the pub, Santa Photos at the Robertson Public House are hosting Santa photos from 11am to 6pm.

Families can expect professional family photo sessions with Santa, Pet-friendly sessions, a cozy, festive setup in the Carrington Room, and memories to treasure for years to come.

Prices are between $47 and $67 with bookings essential. Please note there are no refunds once bookings are confirmed, and rescheduling may be possible up to 48 hours before the booked session.

Cars and Coffee Southern Highlands, Berrima

The monthly and final Cars and Coffee Southern Highlands event for the year will be held in Berrima this Sunday at Marketplace Park in Berrima from 8am – 10am.

Cars of all shapes and sizes and makes will be on display for all to see as well as coffee available.

The Store Menangle Artisan Night Markets

Local Menangle pop-up café The Store Menangle is hosting their Artisan Night Markets tonight from 4pm – 8:30pm.

There will be a collection of stalls selling the perfect Christmas gifts made by local artisans including handcrafted ceramics, candles, art, gifts and more.

The team from The Store Menangle will also be serving up delicious street-style food.

George IV Inn 190th Birthday, Picton

Iconic Picton pub, the George IV Inn, is celebrating its 190th birthday this Saturday, with events kicking off from 11am, with live music starting from 4pm.

A series of country musicians will be performing including Jamie Preston, Carly Mozsny, Zak Armstrong, Sarah Catania, Brock Rodziewicz, and Lasso Lee with her interactive line dancing.

There will also be activities for the kids including face painting, a jumping castle, a mechanical bull, market stalls, giveaways, and a whole lot more.

The George IV Inn is located at 180 Argyle St, Picton.

Spring Into Summer at Wollondilly Leisure Centre

The Wollondilly Leisure Centre is preparing for the summer influx of swimmers with their Spring into Summer event running from 10am-3pm.

There will be a variety of activities on offer, including live reptile displays, a jumping castle, face painting, live music, and a whole stack more.

There will also be a BBQ and sweets to tame hungry tummies, too!

Entry is free.

Goulburn Domestic Violence Walk

Anglicare Goulburn, in partnership with Rotary and Hume District Police, are hosting a Goulburn Domestic Violence Walk this Friday November 28, starting from 10:50am at the rear of Carol James Real Estate in Cartwright Place.

Participants will then turn left into Verner St, and left again into Auburn St. They will then proceed down Auburn St into Montague St and into the grounds of Belmore Park, where some short speeches will be heard and then Rotary will host a free BBQ and drink for everyone.

Bungonia Country Markets

The Bungonia Country Markets will be held at the Bungonia Community Hall from 9am-1pm this Saturday.

On offer at these markets there will be plants and flowers, books, treasures and crafts, country cooking, Devonshire and morning tea as well as a BBQ by the local RFS.

Cars at the Courthouse, Montague St, Goulburn

The monthly Cars at the Courthouse event will be held on Montague St between Belmore Park and the Goulburn Courthouse this Sunday from 10am – 11:30am.

Take a look at all the classic cars on display, bring the family along to play in the park, or enjoy a coffee or a meal at a nearby cafe.

This event is free.
