Try netball in Wollondilly
If your child is looking for their next adventure, or you're simply curious about joining a new community sport, the Wollondilly Netball Association (WNA) is inviting families to its upcoming Come Try Netball & Club Rego Day this Saturday 14 February, from 9:30am to 11:00am at Tahmoor Sports Ground.

The Come Try event is completely free and open to children aged 5 to 15 who want to give netball a go — no experience needed, just runners, some water and a smile.
There will be two streams running on the day:
‘Come and Play Day’ is for NetSetGO players aged 5–9, perfect for young kids who are new to sport or just want to get involved in something fun and social; and ‘1 Day Rego’ for Juniors aged 10 – 14/15, with the chance to get on court, have a run, and get a feel for the game.
It’s also WNA’s main Club Registration Day for the 2026 winter season.
All six Wollondilly clubs will be present, ready to answer questions and help families sign up.
Whether you already know which club you’re joining or want to find the best fit, this is the perfect opportunity to take care of registration in one go.
WNA President Kaylene Scrimgeour told The Southern Wire the event is a great way to see what netball has to offer.
“Netball is more than just a game — it’s fitness, friendship, teamwork, and community,” Ms. Scrimgeour said.
“Our Come Try Day is a fun and relaxed way for kids to have a go, meet new friends, and for families to connect with our local clubs.”
Whether you're new to the game or returning after a break, WNA provides a welcoming environment for players of all skill levels.
For those who want to go further, the Representative Program also offers a clear pathway to compete at Netball NSW State Titles and represent Wollondilly on a bigger stage.
And right now, WNA is still looking to fill a few final spots in its 2026 Representative Teams.
Come along, try the sport, meet the people — and maybe even take the first step in your netball journey.
Details are available on the WNA Facebook page or by emailing secretarywna@gmail.com.
