Truck driver in critical condition after Berrima crash
A truck driver has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after a crash near Berrima earlier today (Thursday).

A truck driver has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after a crash near Berrima earlier today (Thursday).
Emergency services responded to reports of a crash involving two trucks at approximately 3.45am this morning.
The accident occurred in the northbound lane of the Hume Highway near Greenhills Road.
One of the trucks involved was a B-Double while the other was a single trailer vehicle.
Police say both trucks were travelling north and it appeared to be a front to rear collision.
One of the drivers was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious injuries before being airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.
The second driver was uninjured and was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
He is assisting police with their enquiries.
Officers attached to The Hume Police District were in attendance and the Crash Investigation Unit has been advised.

The accident resulted in significant delays on the Hume Highway with light vehicles travelling north initially diverted onto the Old Hume Highway.
Heavy vehicles were advised to find another route.
The highway has since re-opened under contraflow conditions.
