Police investigations are continuing into an alleged double stabbing in Tahmoor late yesterday (Wednesday) which has sent shockwaves through the Wollondilly town.

Police say emergency services were called to a property in Lintina Street at approximately 5pm.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and found a 45-year-old man in the front yard of a house suffering multiple stab wounds.

He was treated at the scene before being airlifted by rescue helicopter to hospital in a serious condition.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command, Traffic and Highway Patrol Command and the Dog Unit attended another house on Lintina Street as a result of enquiries and found a 39-year-old woman also with stab wounds.

She was also treated by paramedics before being airlifted to hospital in a serious condition.

Police say a 12-year-old boy was present “in the street” at the time but was uninjured.

They have been unable to confirm exactly where he was located at the time of the alleged incidents or whether he was related to either of the victims.

An investigation into both incidents is being undertaken by specialist officers and anyone with information including CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
