Saturday night Police Wire: Teens charged over alleged carjacking and driver dies in collision.
Three teenagers will appear in children’s court today (Sunday) after an alleged carjacking and two pursuits. Meanwhile, a 71-year-old man has died after a collision.

Three teenagers will appear in children’s court today (Sunday) after an alleged carjacking and two pursuits near Camden.
Officers attached to the Camden Police Local Area Command allege three youths between the ages of 13 and 16 were in a sedan – which had been reported stole some hours – on Camden Valley Way about midday yesterday (Saturday).
A pursuit was initiated towards Camden after the driver allegedly failed to obey a police direction to stop.
The pursuit was stopped after the allegedly stolen car struck a number of vehicles and drove onto the footpath and the wrong side of the road.
It was found abandoned a short time later after hitting a tree near William Avenue.
At around 12.10pm police were called to Lerida Avenue near Camden after a 26-year-old man was allegedly punched and dragged from his BMW sedan.
They three youths allegedly got into the car before driving from the scene.
The vehicle was spotted shortly afterwards and a second pursuit initiated through Elderslie towards the Camden CBD.
The second pursuit was also terminated due to the manner of driving.
About 20 minutes later, Fire and Rescue NSW were called to Onslow Park in Camden where the stolen BMW was found alight.
The fire vehicle was extinguished but the car was destroyed.
With the assistance of the Dog Unit, Traffic and Highway Patrol and the PolAir, three teenagers were arrested at the scene and taken to Narellen Police Station.
A 16-year-old boy was charged with eight offences including:
· Police pursuit – not stop – dangerous driving (two counts)
· Robbery in company
· Possess prohibited drug, and
· Not give particulars to other driver (four counts)
A second 16-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl were each charged with two offences including:
· Be carried in a conveyance taken without the consent of owner, and
· Robbery in company
All three were refused bail until their court appearance later today.
Meanwhile, A 71-year-old man has died after a collision near Camden.
Emergency services were called to Burragorang Road, Glenmore, at about 5pm yesterday (Saturday) after a collision between a ute and an SUV.
The 71-year-old man driving the SUV was critically injured.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.
A 64-year-old woman travelling in the SUV was treated for arm injuries and transported to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
A 70-year-old man driving the ute was treated for minor injuries and taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing.
A passenger in the ute – a 62-year-old woman – was not injured.
Officers attached to the Camden PAC established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the cause of the crash.
