RFS warns of 90km/h winds across Southern Highlands and Wollondilly
The NSW Rural Fire Service Southern Highlands has issued a warning for the Southern Highlands and Wollondilly, with wind gusts forecast to exceed 90km/h tomorrow.

The RFS is urging residents across the Wingecarribee and Wollondilly shires to immediately postpone any planned pile burns as winds increase from later this evening.
The warning follows a period of pile burning across the region, with authorities concerned recently completed burns could reignite and escape in the strong winds.
Landholders who have conducted pile burns over recent weeks are being asked to check them and ensure they are completely extinguished.
“Don’t be the fire risk to your community,” the RFS warned.
The RFS said fines can apply where people fail to provide required notification before burning or where a fire escapes from a property.
The broader NSW RFS has also warned of strong winds affecting parts of the southern and central ranges, with gusts around 90km/h developing and potentially reaching 100km/h in some areas.
Anyone who sees an unattended fire should call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
