An off-duty NSW Police officer has been charged with multiple driving offences after allegedly being detected travelling at 200km/h in an 80km/h zone.
About 8.45pm on Monday, 15 June 2026, officers from Campbelltown Traffic and Highway Patrol were conducting stationary speed enforcement on Camden Valley Way at Gregory Hills when they stopped a vehicle allegedly travelling at the excessive speed.
The driver, a 22-year-old man, underwent roadside breath and drug testing, with both tests returning negative results.
Police allege the man, a constable attached to a South West Metropolitan Region command, was involved in offences including organise or promote or take part in race, drive in manner speed dangerous, and exceed speed over 45km/h.
He was issued with a Court Attendance Notice and is due to appear before the Picton Local Court on 23 July 2026.
His driver's licence was suspended at the roadside.
NSW Police said the officer's employment is currently under review.
