Police Arrest Two After Early-Morning Tobacconist Robbery in Picton
Police have charged two people following the alleged robbery of a tobacconist and the theft of a motorcycle in Picton early Tuesday morning.

Police have charged two people following the alleged robbery of a tobacconist and the theft of a motorcycle in Picton early Tuesday morning.
About 4 am (Tuesday 25 November 2025), officers from Camden Police Area Command were called to a home on Lumsdaine Street, Picton, after reports of a stolen motorcycle.
Police were told unknown offenders had allegedly taken the motorcycle from the front of the property before loading it onto a Toyota utility and driving off.
A short time later, officers were called to a tobacconist on Argyle Street, Picton, following reports of a break-in. Two people had allegedly forced entry to the business before stealing about $500 in cash and tobacco products worth approximately $1,200.
The pair then allegedly fled in the Toyota before police arrived.
Crime scenes were established at both locations, and Camden Police commenced investigations.
With assistance from Cumberland and Fairfield City Police, officers later found the Toyota at a home on Kalora Avenue, Fairfield West. A search warrant was executed, and police allegedly located and seized the stolen motorcycle, the utility (also believed to be stolen), a cash register, electronic devices and cash.
A 29-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested at the scene and taken to Cabramatta Police Station.
Both were charged with:
Be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner
Take and drive conveyance without consent of owner
Armed with intent to commit indictable offence
Commit s114 offence, having previous conviction
Aggravated break and enter dwelling in company steal equal to or less than $60,000
Both were refused bail to appear before Fairfield Local Court on Wednesday 26 November 2025.
