Federal Police arrest man at Tahmoor over alleged $1.5m NDIS fraud
A man has been charged in Tahmoor over an alleged $1.5 million National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) fraud, with police alleging dozens of false claims were made.

A man has been charged in Tahmoor over an alleged $1.5 million National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) fraud, with police alleging dozens of false claims were made.
The 33-year-old first came to the attention of the Fraud Fusion Taskforce (FFT) in January 2024, after investigators suspected he was fraudulently claiming payments as a registered NDIS provider.
Police allege the man claimed more than $1.5 million for services that were never provided.
The man was allegedly linked to 80 separate claims lodged against 22 NDIS participants between 17 January and 30 March 2024, without their knowledge. Evidence obtained during a search warrant executed in June 2024 allegedly connected him to the activity.
Authorities further allege the man is associated with organised criminal groups.
On 19 August 2024, a two-year banning order was imposed, prohibiting the man from operating, undertaking or providing NDIS-related services.
Following further inquiries, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) obtained an arrest warrant in February 2026, with the Australian Federal Police launching an operation to locate the man.
He was arrested yesterday at a construction site in Tahmoor.
