Man charged after drugs, ammunition and counterfeit cash seized during road stop in Mittagong
A man has been charged with a range of offences after ammunition, drugs and counterfeit cash were allegedly seized following a road stop in Mittagong.

A man has been charged with a range of offences after ammunition, drugs and counterfeit cash were allegedly seized following a road stop in Mittagong on Saturday night.
About 10.30pm on Saturday, officers attached to The Hume Police District were patrolling the Old Hume Highway, Mittagong, about 5km north-east of Bowral.
While patrolling, police stopped a Mazda sedan and spoke to the driver – a 39-year-old man - and had reason to search the vehicle.
During the search, officers seized ammunition, two shotgun shells, a counterfeit $100 note, and drugs – 283.2 grams of methylamphetamine, 36.8 grams of heroin and 11.7 grams of cocaine.
The man was arrested and taken to Southern Highlands Police Station.
He was charged with nine offences - supply prohibited drug greater than or equal to commercial quantity; two counts of supply prohibited drug great than indictable and less than commercial quantity; acquire etc ammunition subject to prohibition order; possess ammunition without holding a licence/permit/authority; possess counterfeit money; and two counts of possess prohibited drug.
The man was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 3 yesterday (Sunday 10 May), where he was formally refused bail and will appear in Moss Vale Local Court on Tuesday 16 June.
