At around 5:45pm this evening multiple emergency services were called to a heavy vehicle fire on the Hume Motorway near the intersection with Dalmeny Lane, approximately 21kms south of Marulan.

Northbound traffic on that section of highway is reduced to one lane, with visibility impacted by smoke.

The load is not hazardous, and traffic is slowly flowing.

The Hume Police District requests that all drivers take care, show patience and allow for safe merging of all traffic until clear of the scene.
