Eventful return to baseball after school holiday break
The Wollondilly Dodgers had an eventful return to baseball following the school holiday break.

The Wollondilly Dodgers had an eventful return to baseball following the school holiday break. While most teams were unfortunately washed out due to the rain, the club’s O35s Settlers secured their first win of the season on Friday night, defeating the Moorebank Royals Phantoms 10–7. The Dodgers’ Majors team, the Goannas, also came away with a strong 4–0 win over the Caspers Vipers.
The Coach Pitch Redbacks put up an impressive fight, rallying in the fourth innings before narrowly going down 14–13 to the Campbelltown Ghosts Boo Crew. Both the Coach Pitch Flyers and Open Seniors Pioneers had their games washed out. On a brighter note, the Coach Pitch Flyers proudly represented the club on Sunday (October 11) at the Sydney Blue Sox Slugger Series (Western Rumble) in Penrith.
They had an outstanding day, winning two of their four games and finishing third in their division. They also claimed victory in the base running relay, winning by just one tenth of a second. The club was thrilled to have its Goannas players represent the traveling baseball team, the South West Rhinos.
