Drug bust and knife found in quiet Hill Top street
At about 7.25am on Tuesday morning (7 April), officers attached to the State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad executed a Firearm Prohibition Order compliance check at an address in Cumberteen St, Hill Top.

At about 7.25am on Tuesday morning (7 April), officers attached to the State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad executed a Firearm Prohibition Order compliance check at an address in Cumberteen St, Hill Top.
During the search, police located a knife, equipment consistent with the manufacture of illegal drugs, more than $11,000 in cash, a Dedicated Encrypted Criminal Communication Device (DECCD), and other electronic devices.
Specialist police from the Drug and Firearms Squad’s Chemical Operations Unit and NSW Fire & Rescue also assisted in rendering the scene safe from the drug manufacture equipment.
A 42-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Southern Highlands Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug >= large commercial quantity, dishonestly obtain financial advantage etc. by deception, and breach of bail.
He was refused bail and appeared in Bail Division Local Court 3 on Wednesday 8 April (yesterday).
