Driver dies in Marulan crash

A driver died and his passenger was seriously injured in a crash at Marulan yesterday (Thursday) afternoon.

A driver died and his passenger was seriously injured in a crash at Marulan yesterday (Thursday) afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the Hume Highway at approximately 2.40pm after reports that a car had left the highway and rolled.

Officers from The Hume Police District attended along with NSW Ambulance paramedics and Fire and Rescue NSW.

The driver – a man believed to be aged in his 80s – died at the scene.

The passenger – a woman believed to be aged in her 80s – was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to hospital.

An investigation into circumstances surrounding the crash is continuing.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
