Council to push for south-facing ramps to be prioritised
Wollondilly Shire Council will call on the NSW and Australian Governments to prioritise the planning, funding and delivery of south-facing entry and exit ramps linking Spring Farm Parkway with the Hume Motorway.

While Council has confirmed its support for Stage 2 of the Spring Farm Parkway project, it says the southbound ramps “remain an important missing piece of the network”.
Stage 1 of the project – including a new interchange with north-facing entry and exit ramps linking Menangle Park with the Hume Motorway – was completed last year.
Stage 2 will see a three-kilometre, four-lane extension of Spring Farm Parkway linking Menangle Park and Spring Farm.
In a Notice of Motion tabled at council’s September meeting, Wollondilly mayor Matt Gould said Spring Farm Parkway Stage 2 was “an important piece of regional infrastructure” that would complete the east-west connection between Spring Farm, Menangle Park and the Hume Motorway.
He said it would provide a much-needed alternative to Narellan Road and better connections for Wollondilly residents travelling to Camden, Campbelltown and beyond.
However, Cr Gould said Stage 2, as currently proposed, did not include the south-facing ramps that would “significantly improve southbound connectivity for Wollondilly and the wider Macarthur region”.
Council will ask that the ramps be prioritised and will call on neighbouring councils to do the same.
The NSW and Australian Governments have committed $15 million to progress planning for Spring Farm Parkway Stage 2.
Cr Gould the Parkway would divert traffic away from Narellan Road but would also ease pressure on some of Wollondilly’s local roads, which were often used as detours.
