Come and try hockey in Mittagong
If any kids or adults are looking to play a sport that is active and fun as well as enjoying a great team atmosphere, then the Mittagong Hockey Club is the place to be.

They are looking to take on new players for the 2026 season, with training for Seniors starting tomorrow (Tuesday 10 February) at the Southern Highlands Hockey Centre in Welby.
There will also be registrations held at the Highlands Hotel in Mittagong this Sunday afternoon (15 February) from 12:30pm - 2pm.
Before this on Sunday morning, the Southern Highlands Hockey Incorporated (SHHI) are hosting a ‘Come and Try Day’ at the Welby complex from 9am – 11am, with a sausage sizzle included.
The Seniors season is due to commence on Thursday 19th March, with the juniors training commencing on Thursday 5 March and the season commencing on Monday 16 March.
Sides start from Under 6s all the way up to First Grade Men and Women, with matches played all through the week on Monday nights (Under 14s), Tuesday nights (Under 16s), Thursday nights (2nd Grade Women), Friday nights (for 1st Grade Women & Men), and Saturday mornings and during the day for all other sides.
The season runs for approximately 16 weeks, with the 2nd Grade Men and 3rd Grade Men & Women’s sides finishing on August 29, and a Grand Final on September 19.
“We’re always looking to grow hockey here in the Southern Highlands, not only in Mittagong, but across the whole shire,” Club President Daniel Valentine from Mittagong Hockey Club told The Southern Wire.
