Wingecarribee Shire Council calls in the lawyers
Southern Highlands businessman and cattle farmer Theo Onisforou was not present at Moss Vale Local Court today when a matter involving charges against him was listed for the return of subpoena.

Southern Highlands businessman and cattle farmer Theo Onisforou was not present at Moss Vale Local Court today when a matter involving charges against him was listed for the return of subpoena.
Wingecarribee Shire Council, who are not a party to the charges against Onisforou, were represented by Andrew Tiedt of JSA Law during the proceedings.
While the court record shows the matter before the court related to a subpoena, the reason for the subpoena and council’s involvement was not disclosed in open court.
The matter was adjourned until July 21.
Mr. Onisforou was previously charged with three offences after having been allegedly removed from Wingecarribee Shire Council earlier this year.
Onisforou appeared before Moss Vale Local Court on May 26 on the charges of ‘wilfully obstruct listed officer in exercise of functions’; ‘refuse or fail to comply with a direction under Part 14’ and ‘affix placard or paper on premises without consent’ along with related apprehended violence order applications.
An Apprehended Violence Order (AVO) is currently in place regulating the conduct of Onisforou towards Mayor Jesse Fitzpatrick and General Manager Lisa Miscamble.
The interim AVO was sought by Police.
Onisforou has entered a plea of not guilty to all three charges.
