WEEKEND WIRE: Highlands, Tablelands and Wollondilly – October 24 to 26
A snapshot of what events will be on across the Southern Highlands, Southern Tablelands and Wollondilly regions this weekend.

SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS
FRIDAY OCTOBER 24
Karaoke at the Sutton Forest Inn
On the fourth Friday of every month join the crowd at the Sutton Forest Inn to not only partake in the badge draw or win some meat trays but also impress everyone with some karaoke skills as well!
The event runs from 8pm- 11pm at the Sutton Forest Inn, 7390 Illawarra Highway, Sutton Forest.
SATURDAY OCTOBER 25
Bundanoon Garden Ramble
The annual Bundanoon Garden Ramble will be on over two days this weekend and will bring the town alive.
There will be 8 gardens featuring in this year’s event, each with a different theme – one with a rural vibe with wine and spirit tasting, the Wynlen House vegetable garden, a cottage garden designed by an occupational therapist without any steps for ease of access, a rose garden, shrub garden and a special garden located down at the rear of Blue Gum Lane.
There will also be gift stalls and plants for sale at each garden as well as at the Soldiers Memorial Hall. The Bundanoon Uniting Church and CWA will also be operating their tea rooms.
Shuttle buses will also be available to transport people between gardens, but most are within walking distance of each other.
Tickets for the Ramble are $25 for both days, which covers all eight gardens, or $5 for an individual garden, and can be purchased at the gardens or at the Hall.
SUNDAY OCTOBER 26
Berrima Schoolyard Markets, Berrima Public School
Held every fourth Sunday of the month, the Berrima Schoolyard Markets appeals to every taste with upwards of 50 market stalls on offer as well as children’s activities including a jumping castle, playground, and cars as well as a Stephanie Alexander – style ‘kitchen cafe’.
The markets run from 9am – 2pm.
The Berrima Public School is located at 24 Oxley St, Berrima.

‘Ruins’ at the Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre
The play ‘Ruins’ is about a girl named Amelia Alissa who travels to her ancestral home of Lebanon to reveal secrets from her past.
Performed by Clockfire Theatre Company, the play has been receiving critical acclaim and has been expanded to become part of the WPAC and Seymour Performing Arts Centre seasons for 2025.
Sessions will be held at 7:00pm on both Friday and Saturday night. Tickets start from $15 for Under 18s, $35 for concessions and $40 for adults and can be purchased at https://wpac2024.sales.ticketsearch.com/sales/salesevent/143911.

Karaoke at Hotel Bargo
Held on the last Saturday every month, participants get the chance to show off their vocal skills in karaoke at the Hotel Bargo, starting from 8:30pm.

Picton Ute Show at the 2025 Picton Show
As part of the 2025 Picton Show, the Picton Ute Show will be held this Sunday from 6am – 3pm.
- Note Chicks categories: (registration papers required)
Other categories also include:
- President’s Choice;
- Reserve Champion; and
- Grand Champion.
Ute show registration entries can be sought on the day. Gates open at 6am and must be parked up by 8am.
Cash & EFTPOS facilities will also be available on the day.

Goulburn Local Live Music Showcase @ The Goulburn Club
Mike Baker and the Stolen Moments Jazz Band will be performing tomorrow night at the Goulburn Club from 7:30pm.
The Local Live Music Showcase is held every fourth Friday of the month and hosts a variety of local artists and musicians.

Growing Abilities Goulburn Open Day
Local Goulburn disability service provider Growing Abilities will be hosting their Open Day at their Ross St facility this Saturday from 10am - 2pm.
Local country musician Jamie Agius will be performing on stage and there will be a variety of other activities including market stalls, a BBQ, pot painting, snail races, face painting, ice cream and coffee vans, and even a fruit tree pruning workshop from 11:30am.
Entry is free with 20 percent off all nursery purchases also on the day.

Cars at the Courthouse, Montague St
The monthly Cars at the Courthouse event will be held this Sunday outside the Goulburn Courthouse on Montague St (opposite Belmore Park) from 10am – 11:30am.
Enthusiasts and their families are invited to come along and have a look at the cars and let the kids play in the park and enjoy coffee from nearby cafés.
The event will be held rain, hail, or shine!
