Volvo Cars Southern Highlands has been named Australia’s top Rural Retailer of the Year at Volvo’s annual Pinnacle Awards of Excellence for a record ninth time.

The awards were presented in Sydney earlier this month.

Managing Director of Volvo Cars Australia, Stephen Connor, congratulated the Moss Vale-based dealership on its win.

“Volvo Cars Southern Highlands represents the absolute pinnacle of excellent customer service,” Mr Connor said.

“They are entrepreneurs who represent our company every day in their communities, they know their customers as well as the Volvo cars they sell and service.

“They deliver the best possible experience for their customers and that means they keep coming back,” he said. Dealer Principal of Volvo Cars Southern Highlands, Brian Higgins, praised his team.

“Being a regional business, customer experience and relationships are paramount,” he said.

Team members held a desire to provide an outstanding level of service “on every occasion” and winning the award for a ninth time was recognition of their collective efforts.

A spokesperson for Volvo Cars Australia said the company was positioning itself as a “premium European product” competing against brands including Mercedes, BMW, Lexis and Audi.

Its primary product at the moment is a range of electric SUVs.

The spokesperson said approximately 1.2 million new cars were being sold across the nation every year from 60 different brands.

Volvo continues to hold its own with approximately 11,000 new vehicles sold across the country every year.
