Two Yass businesses have been ordered to close for up to three months as part of the NSW Government's ongoing crackdown on the alleged sale of illicit tobacco.
Two Yass businesses have been ordered to close for up to three months as part of the NSW Government's ongoing crackdown on the alleged sale of illicit tobacco.
Yass Convenience, at 162 Comur Street, and Yass Mini Market, at 89 Comur Street, were both issued short-term closure orders on 30 July.
The closure orders remain in force until 27 October.
According to the NSW Government's public register, Yass Convenience was ordered to close over the alleged sale of illicit tobacco and the alleged retail sale of tobacco products or non-tobacco smoking products without a retail licence in effect.
Yass Mini Market was issued a closure order for the alleged sale of illicit tobacco.
The closure orders form part of the NSW Government's enforcement action targeting the illegal tobacco trade, with businesses found allegedly breaching tobacco laws facing temporary closure and other penalties.
