Trucks involved in serious incident on Hume Highway
Two trucks were involved in a motor vehicle accident on the Hume Highway near Hanging Rock Rd between Sutton Forest and Paddy’s River at approximately 11am this morning.

Two trucks were involved in a motor vehicle accident on the Hume Highway near Hanging Rock Rd between Sutton Forest and Paddy’s River at approximately 11am this morning.
Fire and Rescue, Rural Fire Service, Ambulance and Police crews attended the scene, with one northbound lane closed to traffic.
“The FRNSW currently have 1 fire truck in attendance (4 firefighters),” a spokesperson from Fire and Rescue NSW told The Southern Wire.
“One person is reported to be injured and is being treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics. Firefighters are working to make the area safe and are still in attendance at this time.”
On one of the trucks, a B-double, the rear-trailer disconnected and started to roll down the hill, with the second truck colliding with the trailer.
The driver of the second truck, a male aged in his 60’s, sustained head, facial and leg injuries and is in a stable condition and has been transported to Liverpool Hospital for monitoring.
The second driver refused any medical treatment.
An Ambulance NSW spokesperson told The Southern Wire that this northbound lane will continue to be closed for quite some time whilst the trucks are waiting to be towed.
