The Bundanoon-based Quest for Life is encouraging local residents to take a day out to focus on their well-being.
Quest for Life will be hosting a one-day ‘Your Life Matters’ workshop next month, providing participants with the opportunity to “step out of the busyness of daily life and reconnect with what matters most”.
Founder and CEO of Quest for Life, Petrea King, said attendees would learn simple, effective tools and strategies to support their wellbeing, build resilience and navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence.
For people juggling work, family, or personal pressures, it will provide a supportive space to pause, reflect and learn practical ways to live well.
Petrea is considered one of Australia’s leading wellbeing educators.
For more than three decades, she has supported thousands of people facing trauma, grief, serious illness and major life challenges, drawing on both her professional experience and her own journey through life-threatening illness.
An author of nine books, acclaimed public speaker and regular media contributor, Petrea is known for her warm, practical approach to helping people build resilience, find meaning and navigate change.
“Taking time out is not a luxury - it’s essential,” Petrea said.
“Small, practical changes can make a profound difference to how we experience life."
Co-hosting the workshop will be Quest for Life counsellor/therapist Chantal Patruno.
Participants will learn how to build resilience in the face of challenging circumstances, how to integrate self-care into daily life, how to manage emotions and recognise burnout and how to incorporate relaxation into everyday routines.
Feedback from previous workshops has been resoundingly positive.
Participants have described the sessions as "empowering", "well-presented” and “clear, simple, and easy to understand.”
The workshop will be held at the Collegians Rugby League Football Club in Wollongong between 9.30am and 3pm on Saturday, May 21. Places are limited and registration is essential by calling 1300 941 488 or online at 1-day Workshop: Your Life Matters - Wollongong Tickets, Saturday, November 21 • 9:30 AM - 3 PM | Eventbrite.
The cost is $150 ($120 concession) and includes morning tea, all materials and a copy of Petrea King’s book Your Life Matters.
