Three hours of food, fun and live entertainment for YouthFest 2026
Young people across the Wingecarribee are being encouraged to turn out for three hours of food, fun and live entertainment as part of YouthFest 2026.

Young people across the Wingecarribee are being encouraged to turn out for three hours of food, fun and live entertainment as part of YouthFest 2026.
The event is being held at Loseby Park in Bowral on the last Thursday of the school holidays – April 16 – and will be free for all Wingecarribee residents between the ages of 12 and 24.
It will run from 11am through to 2pm.
YouthFest 2026 is being presented by Wingecarribee Shire Council and supported by funding from the NSW Government’s Youth Week program.
The event is being delivered in partnership with a number of local community organisations including Community Links Wellbeing, Reframe, Pop In, Highlands Community Centres and Highlands Youth Centre.
There will be a barbecue lunch with drinks, snacks and snow cones as well as live music, a mechanical bull and a giant jumping castle and obstacle course.
There will also be a clothes swap stall, drop-in creative and recreational activities and a chill-out space and organisers are promising “heaps more”.
Wingecarribee Shire Mayor Jesse Fitzpatrick said YouthFest was all about celebrating young people in the community and creating events that reflect their interests.
“YouthFest is a day where young people can get together, enjoy great activities and feel part of the community.”
He said there would be a fantastic mix of things to do with “something for everyone”.
“YouthFest continues to grow in popularity each year and we take on board the feedback from attendees to help make each event better than the last.”
All activities will be free of charge and no bookings are required.
A trial YouthFest bus will run from Renwick, Mittagong and the shire’s northern villages.
Bookings for the bus are essential and will run subject to demand.
To book, go the YouthFest media release at wsc.nsw.gov.au and follow the link.
Organisers say the event will proceed rain, hail or shine and will only be cancelled in the case of extreme weather. If this happens indoor activities will still be provided in the Youth Hub at Loseby Park.
YouthFest is an alcohol and smoke free event.
