Robertson’s Kurt Eyding has been recognised for a decade of volunteer service helping manage the Robertson Showground during National Volunteer Week.

Mr Eyding was honoured as part of the NSW Crown Lands Service Recognition Awards, which acknowledge volunteers managing Crown land reserves across the state.

Robertson Showground remains one of the Southern Highlands’ most important community venues, hosting events including the annual Robertson Show and Robertson Potato Festival, along with sporting activities, agricultural events and community gatherings throughout the year.

Mr Eyding has spent the past 10 years supporting the volunteer board responsible for the showground.

NSW Lands and Property Minister Steve Kamper told The Southern Wire that “Robertson Showground continues to thrive"

As National Volunteer Week concludes, the work of more than 2,500 volunteers who help manage over 700 Crown reserves goes on.
