RFS members sharpen skills at Kerslake training facility
Rural Fire Service volunteers from across the Southern Highlands have completed specialist structural firefighting training at the Kerslake training facility.
Rural Fire Service volunteers from across the Southern Highlands have completed specialist structural firefighting training at the Kerslake training facility.
Members took part in the two-day course, which is designed to give firefighters the knowledge and skills needed to safely and effectively undertake internal structural firefighting.
The training included working while wearing breathing apparatus, an essential part of safely responding to fires inside buildings and other enclosed spaces.
NSW RFS Alpine/Aylmerton Brigade said it was encouraging to see volunteers giving up their time to build skills that will help protect local communities.
The brigade congratulated everyone who completed the course and those involved in delivering the training.
