Other speakers at Wednesday night’s meeting will include Kerry Chater and Sue Hayward from the Southern Highlands branch of the Older Womens Network who will talk about the Homes for Older Women project.
Homes for Older Women Southern Highlands – officially launched at an event in Bowral last month – aims to match older women who need a home with women who have a self-contained space in their home or on their property.
The program also operates in the Blue Mountains where it has been extremely successful finding secure, affordable and socially connected housing for women over the age of 55 experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Wednesday night’s meeting will be at The Venue in Station Street, Bowral.
Doors will be open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start with free tea, coffee and muffins on available.
