Young Goulburn singers will get the chance to perform alongside some of the country's leading opera talent when Opera Australia brings Don Giovanni to the city next month.
Singers from Hume Conservatorium will join the professional cast and musicians when Mozart's famous opera is performed at the Goulburn Performing Arts Centre on Tuesday, September 1.
The Goulburn performance is part of Opera Australia's 2026 National Tour and features a 1950s-inspired production directed by Australian playwright Michael Gow.
Don Giovanni tells the story of the notorious womaniser Don Giovanni, mixing comedy and scandal with a darker story of betrayal, revenge and ultimately retribution.
The production will feature a live chamber orchestra and will be performed in Italian with English surtitles.
Opera Australia's regional touring program is marking its 30th anniversary this year.
Since it began in 1996, the national tour has staged more than 720 performances for more than 330,000 people across 139 regional and remote locations.
The Goulburn performance will run for about two and a half hours, including an interval.
Don Giovanni will be performed at Goulburn Performing Arts Centre from 7.30pm on Tuesday, September 1.
