Off-duty police officer charged with making a false report

An off-duty police officer from the Camden area has been charged with allegedly making a false police report.

An off-duty police officer from the Camden area has been charged with allegedly making a false police report.

The 24-year-old woman – a probationary constable attached to the South West Metropolitan Region command – was charged yesterday (Friday) with knowingly make false/misleading statement in relation to an alleged domestic incident in Oran Park in October.

She was issued with a court attendance notice to appear before Campbelltown Local Court on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

She has been placed on restricted duties and a police spokesperson said her employment status was under review.

Officers attached to the Camden Police Area Command commenced investigations into reports of an alleged domestic incident in Oran Park last month.

Police arrested and charged a 25-year-old man over the alleged incident but those charges were withdrawn after further inquiries.
