Six additional paramedics commenced work in Yass over the weekend.

The paramedics will be based at Yass Ambulance Station and will service the wider Southern Tablelands, delivering emergency and out-of-hospital care.

NSW Health Minister Ryan Park said the additional staff would support frontline services.

“These extra paramedics in Yass will provide much-needed support and help ensure the local community receives care when they need it,” he said.

NSW Ambulance interim chief executive Clare Beech said demand for services continued to rise.

“As demand for ambulance services increases, these additional paramedics will help maintain a high standard of care,” she said.
