Donato Roque Gregorio is due back before Moss Vale Local Court on Monday as committal proceedings continue over allegations involving children in the Philippines.
Gregorio was arrested at his Moss Vale home on August 28 last year during Operation Titan — a crackdown on alleged online child exploitation involving the Australian Federal Police, NSW Police and Australian Border Force.
At the time, Gregorio was charged with one count of using a carriage service to transmit indecent communications to a person under 16 after police alleged he had engaged in sexualised online conversations with two girls in the Philippines.
Police seized four electronic devices from his home.
Court records show Gregorio now faces 10 charges, including allegations he procured children for sexual activity outside Australia, groomed a child for sexual activity overseas and repeatedly used a carriage service to procure a person under 16 for sexual activity.
He also faces two counts of using a carriage service to menace, harass or offend and one count of intentionally recording an intimate image without consent.
No pleas are recorded in the latest court material. Seven of the 10 charges carry maximum penalties of 15 years behind bars
Gregorio remains on bail and must
• report to Southern Highlands Police Station every Monday, Wednesday and Friday;
• be of good behaviour and not commit any criminal offence while on bail;
• not leave Australia;
• not go within 100 metres of any international departure point;
• surrender his passport;
• not be unaccompanied in the presence of anyone aged 16 or under;
• not go within 100 metres of a school, preschool or childcare facility;
• not contact anyone aged 16 or under by landline, mobile phone, email, social media or any other internet messaging service;
• not use the internet, including through another person;
• not have an internet connection at the premises where he ordinarily lives;
• not own or possess a mobile phone capable of accessing the internet;
• provide police with the make, model and IMEI number of any mobile phone he obtains within seven days;
• produce that phone for inspection when reasonably requested by NSW Police or Australian Federal Police officers; and
• not seek employment with any institution or organisation involved in the care of children.
Gregorio was one of nine people initially charged during Operation Titan, which saw more than 140 officers from the AFP, NSW Police and Australian Border Force execute 15 search warrants between August 28 and September 11 last year.
More than 30 alleged online child abuse offences were laid during the blitz and more than 50 phones, laptops, USB drives and hard drives were seized for forensic examination.
The AFP launched Operation Titan following a surge in reports to the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation.
The centre received more than 82,700 reports of child exploitation during 2024-25 — up 41 per cent on the previous financial year.
Gregorio is due to return to Moss Vale Local Court at 9.30am on Monday, September 21.
