Man rescued after motor bike crash
A man in his 50s was rescued this afternoon by emergency services at Mt Werong, halfway between the Blue Mountains and Goulburn.
A man in his 50s was rescued this afternoon by emergency services at Mt Werong, halfway between the Blue Mountains and Goulburn.
Emergency services were called to Mt Werong at 11am. A spokesperson for NSW Ambulance told The Southern Wire the man had "potentially fallen down a small embankment".
Multiple crews were on hand to assist with the rescue.
The man was airlifted by the Toll rescue helicopter, landing around 2 pm today at Liverpool Hospital.
The man has multiple injuries.
Mt Werong is situated north of Taralga and Wombeyan Caves in the Blue Mountains National Park.
National Parks NSW describes Mt Werong campground as "a great base to explore the remote and wild southern Blue Mountains by 4WD, on foot or mountain bike."
