Man Charged After Alleged Attempted Vehicle Break-In in Goulburn
A Goulburn man has been charged and a teenager is expected to be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act following an alleged vehicle break-in in Goulburn.

A Goulburn man has been charged and a teenager is expected to be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act following an alleged vehicle break-in in Goulburn.
Police allege that about 11.50pm on Saturday, June 13, two males were attempting to access a white Isuzu D-MAX utility parked on Cathcart Street when they were disturbed by a member of the public.
The pair allegedly left the scene before police were called.
Following inquiries, officers attached to The Hume Police District stopped a vehicle on Rhoda Street shortly after midnight and spoke with its occupants.
During a search, police allegedly located a number of items on one of the passengers, including a folding knife, balaclava, gloves and a Bluetooth transmitter believed to have been stolen from the utility.
A 20-year-old Goulburn man was arrested and taken to Goulburn Police Station.
He was charged with Larceny, Custody of a knife in a public place, Being disguised with intent to commit an indictable offence and Being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence
He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear before Goulburn Local Court on July 29, 2026.
Police said a 16-year-old boy is expected to be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
Investigations are continuing.
Hume Police District Inspector Nick Wiles said the community played an important role in preventing opportunistic crime.
"We are reminding the community to remain vigilant, report suspicious behaviour promptly, and ensure vehicles are locked and valuables are removed to reduce the risk of theft," Inspector Wiles said.
