Maintenance work planned for Marsden Bridge
The bridge is located on Crookwell Road and crosses the Wollondilly River.

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) will undertake maintenance work on Marsden Bridge this month.
The bridge is located on Crookwell Road and crosses the Wollondilly River.
A TfNSW spokesperson said the work would include scour protection and general maintenance to help prevent erosion and improve stability of the bridge.
It will reduce the need for future maintenance work.
Scour protection involves placing rocks along the banks and beside the bridge piers to protect the bridge from erosion caused by water flow.
General maintenance will include painting and bearing replacement to support the bridge deck.
The work will be carried out between 7am and 5pm weather permitting for a six-week period commencing Monday, October 19.
During the work there will be intermittent single-lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h between 9.30am and 2.30pm.
However, most of the work will be carried out under the bridge and will not impact road users.
TfNSW has advised residents that there will be increased vehicle movements around the bridge for the duration of the project.
There will also be noise and vibration from machinery and equipment but every effort will be made to reduce impacts and to complete the work as quickly as possible.
More information about the project is available from project manager Nisal Munaweera on 0431675452 or by emailing SouthProjects@transport.nsw.gov.au
