Wingecarribee Libraries has turned to a tried and tested method of getting young people engaged by announcing a Lego competition in the lead up to this year’s festival.
As part of the competition, children are being asked to create a Lego masterpiece inspired by Tulip Time, flowers, gardens, nature or the beauty of the Southern Highlands.
Entries will be open in two age categories (5-9 years, 10-14 years) with the top five entries in each age category to be displayed during Tulip Time at a branch library of the finalists’ choice.
Entry is simple.
Children simply need to create their Lego masterpiece, complete the online entry form available at library.wsc.nsw.gov.au and upload three photos before Monday, September 7.
Finalists will be notified on Monday, September 14, with the top entries to be displayed from September 21 to October 3.
Entries will be judged on creativity, connection to the Tulip Time theme ‘Together We Bloom’ as well as design and construction.
People’s choice voting will determine the overall winner, with the winners in each category to be announced on Monday, October 12.
The competition is being proudly supported by The Friends of Wingecarribee Libraries.

The 2026 Tulip Time Festival will run from Friday, September 11 to Monday, October 5 at Corbett Gardens in Bowral.
Besides all the usual events and attractions, this year’s festival will also feature a special ‘Dogs Day Out’ on Monday, September 21.
