Installation of safety barriers to commence
Work will commence today (Tuesday, May 12) on the Hume Highway at the Stony Creek and Connors Creek bridges near Bookham to install safety barriers.

Work will commence today (Tuesday, May 12) on the Hume Highway at the Stony Creek and Connors Creek bridges near Bookham to install safety barriers.
The work at Stony Creek Bridge will be carried from Tuesday between 6am and 6pm and on Saturdays as needed for about two weeks, weather permitting.
Work will then be carried out at Connors Creek Bridge on weekdays, between 6am and 6pm, and on Saturdays as needed for about three weeks, weather permitting.
Single lane closures, traffic control and reduced speed limits of 40 km/h will be in place for the safety of motorists and workers. Reduced speed limits of 80 km/h will also be in place outside of work hours.
