Highway closure at Robertson this weekend
The Illawarra Highway (Hoddle Street) will be closed at Robertson this weekend as the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) carries out essential level crossing work.

The closure will be in place from 11pm tonight (Friday) until 5am on Monday morning.
Light vehicles will be detoured via Sassafras Way, South Street and Meryla Street.
Motorists are advised to drive to conditions, follow directions and to allow five minutes additional travel time.
As previously reported by The Southern Wire, Wingecarribee Shire Council had recommended that ARTC review its traffic management plan for the closure and that as much work be carried out at night as possible to minimise the disruption to traffic flows and the local community.
However the ARTC plan stated that civil and rail crews would be working continuously (“around the clock”) for a period of 36 to 48 hours to complete the work.
