High Fire Danger this weekend
Warm and windy conditions are set to return on Saturday, with the Fire Danger Rating lifted to High across our regions.

Warm and windy conditions are set to return on Saturday, with the Fire Danger Rating lifted to High across our regions.
As a result, all fire permits have been suspended from midnight tonight for 24 hours.
The suspension means no pile burning or open fires are allowed, except for small cooking or heating fires in a permanently constructed fireplace.
The Rural Fire Service is urging residents to take care and avoid any activity that could spark a blaze.
“Don’t be the fire risk to your community,” an RFS spokesperson said. “If you see a fire without a fire truck in attendance, report it to Triple Zero (000) immediately.”
The warning follows a run of hot, dry, and windy days across the Southern Tablelands, Wollondilly and Highlands, increasing the risk of grass and bush fires.
Residents are reminded to monitor official updates and stay alert for any changes to conditions.
