A member of the Hells Angels outlaw motorcycle gang has been charged after allegedly falsely claiming to be a former Australian Defence Force soldier.
Officers attached to the State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad arrested a 41-year-old man at Peelwood, near Goulburn, about 3.40pm on Tuesday.
Police will allege the man had identified himself as a former member of the ADF, however inquiries conducted with assistance from the Australian Defence Force found no record of him serving in any branch.
The arrest forms part of Strike Force Benson, established in August 2025 to investigate ongoing criminal activity linked to the Hells Angels OMCG.
The man was taken to Goulburn Police Station where he was charged with falsely representing himself to be a returned soldier, sailor or airman.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Goulburn Local Court later today.
Police have confirmed that investigations under Strike Force Benson are continuing.
