Green waste collections paused in Upper Lachlan
Kerbside green waste collections across Upper Lachlan will be suspended next Monday, April 27, as council moves to preserve fuel for essential services.

Kerbside green waste collections across Upper Lachlan will be suspended next Monday, April 27, as council moves to preserve fuel for essential services.
The decision, made at the recent council meeting, comes amid ongoing uncertainty around fuel supply.
Upper Lachlan mayor John Culhane said the move was aimed at keeping core services running.
“This decision was not taken lightly, but it is necessary to protect fuel reserves and ensure essential services continue,” he said.
The pause will remain in place until supply conditions stabilise, with council to review the situation regularly.
Residents will still be able to dispose of green waste, with fees waived at council transfer stations during the suspension.
Council is urging residents to use these facilities for grass clippings, prunings and leaves while collections are on hold.
